Having an A-B-C or 1-2-3 folder structure is a lifesaver when you’re searching for specific assets in your project. In this article, you’ll find out how to use Vidsy’s submission folder correctly.
What Is Our Folder Structure?
We follow an A-B-C structure with both our assets packs and project files. This is helpful when editing because you’ll be able to easily locate the exact asset you’re looking for within your project file. As well as this, working to a set structure helps Vidsy’s internal team work and edit your content efficiently after you’ve submitted it to us.
How Do I Use Vidsy’s Folder Structure Correctly?
To import your assets from the assets pack folder:
Make sure you import them into the correct folder in the project file template on After Effects. It’s usually called something like “Assets (File > Import [Folder 2] Into here).” Please keep them in there without renaming them. Only assets you have created that aren't in the pack go in 'Drop your working files here' folder.
To correctly work within our 1,2,3 project file structure:
Make sure that when you're creating the video versions, you work within our composition folders. They’re usually named under the folder names “Video 1”, “Video 2” and “Video 3.”
