Everything you need to know about
Legal Forms 📑

When you work on a CGC brief with Vidsy, you’ll need to sign two types of legal form, which grant Vidsy the right to feature your performer and location in the content. Here’s everything you need to know:

The two legal forms we need from you

A Performer Release Form
This needs to be signed by every performer that features in your content, even if it's you. This is so we can make sure that that person has given their permission and understands what the content will be used for.

Legally, we refer to performers as “Contributors”.

A Location Release Form
This needs to be signed by the owner of every private location featured in your content, such as restaurants, shops, gyms, train stations or your own home. You do not need a location release for public spaces such as parks.

When you’re invited to a brief with Vidsy, you’ll gain access to a Release Forms page specifically for that brief. This page handles everything electronically.

Watch our short video for an overview on how to sign and send your legal forms to Vidsy:

A step-by-step guide to signing your legal forms

#1

When you’re invited to a brief with Vidsy, you’ll gain access to a Release Forms page specifically for that brief.

Head to this page in the sidebar navigation to get started.

#2

Add the name of your performer, select their age and click Create Form. This will generate a Docusign, ready for electronic signature.

If you have more than one person featured in your content, click Add Performer to generate more release forms.

#3

If you’re the performer, open and sign the form yourself. Easy!

If someone else is featured in your content, copy the link and send the form directly to your performer to sign themselves. (Also easy!).

#4

Repeat for any private locations featured in your content.

#5

On the Submit Files page, you can review whether the forms have been signed and specify which videos both the performer and location are featured in.

#6

If a form hasn’t been signed, it will read “Not yet signed” and provide you an opportunity to chase your performer or location prior to submission.

It’s important that Vidsy receives signed performer and location release forms for each brief, or we won’t be able to accept your content.
